About Me
I’m a writer and professor of Historical and Theological Studies and Director of the Master of Arts in Theological Studies program at Winebrenner Theological Seminary. I also teach courses for the Winebrenner/University of Findlay Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies program. I’ve taught at Samford University’s Beeson Divinity School. My most recent book is
Katherine Parr: A Guided Tour of the Life and Thought of a Reformation Queen (2009).
With my wife Mindy, I’ve co-authored a creative nonfiction YA series (ages 9-14) on the history of Christianity, covering ancient through modern periods (the History Lives series). I’m the editor of a classic Dutch-Latin text, and I’ve contributed chapters and articles on the history of Christianity. I have a B.A. in Theology, a M.A. in the History of Christian Thought, and a Ph.D. in Historical and Theological Studies. I have lived in Michigan, Toledo, Ohio, Chicago, Illinois, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Birmingham, Alabama.
